Malaysian Kuih Onde Onde Recipe

What is onde-onde?

Onde-onde is one of the customary kuih in Malaysia; they are one of my top picks. kuih is the term for Malaysian sweet cakes or baked goods. This adorable little onde-onde-additionally spelled as ondeh-obdeh-are injected with pandan leaves and loaded up with "Gula Melaka" or palm sugar.

Ingredients (5-6 people)

- 500 grams of glutinous rice flour

- Adequate water

- 1 teaspoon of pandan leaf dye

- 1 piece of Melaka sugar (cut into small pieces)

- Grated coconut

Method

1. Mix glutinous rice flour with water. Add pandan leaf dye.

If you want more delicious, use pandan leaf water that has been ground.

2. Take a dough the size of a thumb and knead it into a round shape

It's easy to estimate the size, then flatten it.

3. Place the Malacca sugar and roll it into a ball.

4. Bring water to a boil.

5. Put the cakes in the pot and lift them when the cakes rise.

Evaporate and leave for a while.

6. Mix the cake with grated coconut. Ready to eat
